YOUR ROLE

Leading the Controlling team at HCBE
Close coordination with the Controlling teams of the shareholders as well as the subsidiaries and branches
Active coordination and implementation of medium-term planning, as well as execution of detailed planning/budgeting for the following year
Execution of the monthly forecasting process
Monthly reporting to various stakeholders
Ongoing analysis and commentary on budget vs. actual variances
Continuous development of controlling tools (e.g., RoA / RoRWA, profit center accounting)
Identification and implementation of new trends in controlling (e.g., use of AI)
Ongoing analysis of sales performance using relevant KPIs
Execution and continuous development of the cost controlling function; in-depth analysis of budget variances
Role as a business advisor to the CFO and management to support decision-making, e.g., involvement in new product processes (NPP); preparation of business cases
Active support of the annual rating process
Participation in rolling, medium-term capital and liquidity planning
Preparation of report sections / presentations for monthly shareholder meetings, supervisory board meetings, etc.
Performance and budget analysis of the subsidiary and the foreign branch
Preparation of the management report as part of the HGB annual financial statement

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration (or a related field)
At least 5 years of professional experience in controlling at a bank or financial services provider
At least 3 years of management experience in a controlling environment
Experience in the continuous development of controlling systems and methods
Professional experience at an internationally oriented company is a plus
Preferably experience with manufacturer-affiliated auto banks (captive business)
Solid foundational knowledge of accounting (HGB, IFRS)

Leadership experience, modern management approach, strong team-building skills
Excellent language skills in English and German
Ability to work successfully in a multicultural and dynamic work environment
Excellent analytical skills and strong problem-solving abilities
Good understanding of how the business and competitive environment impacts corporate strategy

Proficiency in standard Office applications as well as information and analysis tools
